Most golf simulators in New York charge for the bay, not for each player, and the price goes up at 4pm. So the number that matters after work is the evening rate, and what it comes to once you split it with friends.

Several newer places publish a range but not which hours are peak: iGolf By Space in Koreatown charges $60 to $80 an hour, LoftLinks on the Upper East Side $65 to $80, Clubhouse in Hudson Square $65 to $95 and Ready Golf Club in the East Village $35 to $65. Assume the top of the range after work.
If you want a real ball flight rather than a screen, the driving range at Chelsea Piers charges $74 for a 55-minute session for two on weekdays from 4pm to 8:59pm. Up to four can share a bay for a small extra charge each. It is a 13 minute walk from 14 St (A, C, E).
Wait until 9pm and it gets cheaper
- Five Iron drops to $29 an hour from 9pm, Monday to Thursday. With six players that is under $5 each.
- Chelsea Piers' twilight session, from 9pm, is $52.
- Golfzon Social charges $49 an hour on Friday and Saturday after 9pm and on Sunday after 6pm.
Friday and the weekend
Five Iron is $100 an hour on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4pm to 9pm. Golfzon Social is $99 on Friday from 4pm to 9pm and from Saturday morning to Sunday evening. The Hack Shack keeps its $84.99 rate all weekend. T-Squared Social, by Grand Central, books weekend simulator hours at $110 a party for up to eight people.
