When you sign up for the Dispatch we keep the address you type and which page you signed up on. If you report a stop, we keep what you tell us about the venue, and your address only if you choose to leave one. That is all. You do not need an account to use this site, and the map, the venue pages and everything else work without telling us anything.

Like every website, the servers that deliver this one see your IP address when a page loads.

Your address is used to send the Dispatch and nothing else. An address left on a report is used once, to ask you about that report, and never added to the Dispatch. We do not sell, rent or give either to venues. Our emails tell us whether an issue was opened and which of its links were followed, which is how we know whether the Dispatch is worth your time.

The service providers that host this site, store the list and deliver the email handle your address on our behalf, only to do those jobs.

We count which pages people use, so we know whether the map is helping anyone find a place to play. It is switched off when you arrive: the first time you visit, a bar at the bottom asks, and nothing is counted and no cookie is set for it unless you choose Accept. Choosing Decline is a real answer and we do not ask again for six months.

If you accept, we see pages, not people: which pages were opened, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and what kind of device it was. We do not use it to advertise to you, and advertising features stay switched off whichever button you press.

Every issue ends with an unsubscribe link, and one click takes you off the list. To have your address deleted outright, or to ask what we hold about you, contact us here.
