A league is how golfers here play with the same people every week, and most will put a single player into a team. Here is what is running and what starts next. The full calendar, by night, is on the leagues page.
Starting soon
- The Mulligans Golf Club, Long Island City. Its fall league begins 13 October, and registration opened on 22 September. It is 5 minutes from 33 St-Rawson St on the 7.
- Five Iron Golf, winter season. Starts 9 November 2026, and the season after that starts 1 February 2027. Teams play Monday or Tuesday, at 6pm or 8pm, or 7pm or 9pm. Greens fees are $25 to $50 per player per week, depending on the location, and the league keeps a separate women's leaderboard.
- Five Iron Golf, Upper East Side, junior league. Five weeks for ages 7 to 13, starting the week of 2 November. It is 4 minutes from 96 St on the 6.
A women's league
- Birdie's Clubhouse, Williamsburg. A new Tuesday night league for teams of two women, $150. Ten weeks, with warm-up at 6:30pm and tee off at 7pm. The same venue runs three-player leagues on Monday (with handicaps), Wednesday and Thursday, at $475. It is 8 minutes from Nassau Av on the G.
Outdoors, on a city course
- Mosholu Golf Course, the Bronx. The only city course that promotes a league anyone can join: Spark League, nine holes on Thursday afternoons until 29 October, in two-person teams or as a single. No fee to join; you pay $34 a round, plus $16 for a cart. It is 7 minutes from Woodlawn, the last stop on the 4.
Already under way
- Golfzon Social, Downtown Brooklyn. Its fall league plays Thursdays at 6:30pm, from 10 September to 5 November, in teams of two: $95 per player to enter and $35 per player each week. One minute from Hoyt St on the 2 and 3.
- Five Iron Golf, fall season. Began 14 September.
New to it
Play Thru Golf in Prospect Heights runs a beginner course rather than a league: four Monday evenings, 5, 12, 19 and 26 October, 6:30pm to 8pm, for $450. It is 3 minutes from Clinton-Washington Avs on the C.
